About

From 1st to 31st January we'll be taking part in the #Run1000 challenge aiming to walk and/or run as many miles as possible to raise awareness of mental wellbeing in rural areas.

Team New Zealand are the new kids on the block for 2022 in the #Run1000.

After watching Team Wales stroll to victory in 2021 New Zealand has thrown its hat in the ring to join #Run1000 and topple the Welsh. Alongside the home nations of Wales, England, Ireland and the kilt wearers, New Zealand are raring to go to knock off the 1000 miles for mental health in January. With the weather being on the good side in January there will be plenty of opportunity to get in the miles for New Zealand.

With a strong group of people already locked in, the 12hr time difference will give us a head start on hitting the target. We would love more members to help us achieve the most distance overall for January.

Our chosen organisation to support is Farmstrong, a great crowd that helps people put together tools to help them combat mental lows and pressures. Helping rural people to live well so they can farm well.

All money raised between every competing nation will be split equally between all the chosen charities. So, the more people we can get out there walking, limping , running and jogging the more it benefits mental health within the Ag industry worldwide.

To join the race and to get the ball rolling, join up to Strava under the #Run1000, Team New Zealand. The cost is $40.00 but all of it goes towards the pool of money for the charities. If you can't get out and run yourself, please donate and help us raise money for a great cause.

Let’s get moving and topple the British and Irish hobblers.
